Hours of Operation and Location
The Delano Police Department Jail is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and operated by State of California certified correctional staff. The jail accepts cash bail and bail bonds 24 hours a day.

Visitation is not allowed at our facility and we do not accept any money or property for the prisoner while in our facility with the exception of medication or clothes if needed.
We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner to all inmates in custody.
If a prisoner requires medical attention, they will be allowed to receive the medical aid that they need.
More About Our Jail
Our jail is a Type 1 Facility and operates in accordance with Title 15 and 24 of the California Code of Regulations and Federal Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Standards for holding juveniles. On January 11, 2006 the State of California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Corrections Standards Authority conducted bi-annual inspections and found no discrepancies. In addition, the State Fire Marshall’s Office as well as the Kern County Health Department conducted its annual inspection of our facility. Prisoners that are not going to be released by a citation or bail are transported to Kern County Jail in Bakersfield, California. We accept prisoners from Kern County Sheriff's Department, California Department of Corrections Parole, California Department of Corrections Prisons, Kern County Probation, Kern County Rangers, Department of Fish and Game, and California Highway Patrol. The Jail is inspected on a regular basis by the California Department of Corrections, Fire Department, and Health Department.
